NJIT Warren Street Village Distinguished Engineering Award – Adeptus Architecture, Inc. has received the “Distinguished Engineering Award for 2014” for the Warren Street Village Project at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark. The award was presented to Barry Agnew, AIA, President of Adeptus Architecture, Inc. on Jan. 30, 2014 by Philip K. Beachem, President of the New Jersey Alliance for Action. The project included six buildings housing an Honors College, dormitories, a restaurant, convenience store, a fitness center, and specialty student housing for fraternities and sororities. NJIT Warren Street Village Receives Higher Education Award – Adeptus Architecture, Inc. has received the “Leading Higher Education Project Award” for 2012 for the Warren Street Village Project at NJIT. The award was presented to Barry Agnew, President of Adeptus Architecture, Inc., on February 5, 2013 by the New Jersey Secretary of Education, Rochelle Hendricks. The project was the catalyst project for “The Gateway” revitalization of downtown Newark, New Jersey. The master plan was developed by Jones, Lang, Lasalle of London, England. Adeptus was responsible for designing the six building 215,000 sq.ft.complex which includes a residential honors college, dormitories, a student fitness center, restaurants, and student support amenities.
